We Have a Hole In The Ground!

I never thought I would be excited about some dirt dug up and piled anywhere..but we're talking about my new house, and the fact that something is dug up..means my house is started!!!

Pete and I drove up there today not expecting anything to be started so close to Christmas. We drove up the hill and up the top as we started driving down I noticed that they had done the cut and fill! Now I can see where the house is going to be, and I'm sooooo excited. Pete had his trusty camera and took enough photos that I think he got every single pebble or rock that was dug up, in its own shot..although he did miss out on getting any of the streaker we had! I got the best view of that LOL. Not often I have a naked guy wearing nothing but a Santa hat sprawling out on the bonnet of my car..where was the camera when I needed it?!! Hmmmm naked on my bonnet....hey Pete..I need you in the garage!!

OOps, okay, totally off topic, sorry..but it was pretty funny.

Ok, so nothing will be done now for a few weeks, and that is fine, but it has started and I am very happy and can't wait till the next stage!!!!!

Almost time to start!

Well the day has almost arrived. We've been told that all systems are go and work may commence on site as early as next week!! Everything has gone well for us so far, we sold our home within a week of it being advertised which was fantastic and so in less then 2 months we'd packed up and moved out and now we are renting until our new home is finished. We're building with Dennis Homes and have heard nothing but good things about them, although I am sure there will be some bad things out there, but thankfully I haven't heard about them..LOL!
